What is this?
What is this?
I bought this and put it on my "that'll come in handy one day" shelf...After 3 or 4 years of not knowing, I think it's time to put it on my "I know what it is" shelf!

Re: What is this?
My guess is with a grease zerc and the color it's off some kind of industrial machine !!!
Re: What is this?
Holes are for tower leg bolts. Flat top is for anti-friction washer. Zerk is for neckpipe grease. Think Hambone tower top here.

Re: What is this?
I suppose it could be a tower cap for a wind generator?
Re: What is this?
I've rebuilt several "L" model Monitors and one of them had a flat top like this casting has. It was iron against iron and the surfaces were almost a mirror polish from years of turning in the wind. I'm guessing that zerk is a modern replacement for an original grease cup. I've been looking at different parts lists to see if I can find that part number, nothing yet.

Not sure on the K101A but you can see the K101 at the left side of the Monitor vaneless parts list. Hope this helps.
