Thanks Wayne.I have some really hard wood that is about 6 inches think.That was my
thought to cut the curvature in it.This wood came from bridge decking and is very very heavy
so won`t move around when pounding things on it.

I like your anvil idea i have used a large vice before and adjustable wrenches but the anvil with slots would be faster.windybob wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 7:44 am I would buy the press for sure. I have an anvil made from a railroad iron, with a couple of slots in it. a 14 inch adjustable wrench, and a 16 inch pipe wrench with a 2 lb hammer is all I use for rims. They are malleable. I'll try to get a couple pictures today if I don't forget.
