Siphon pump?

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Siphon pump?

Post by Windcatcher530 Dan »

I picked this up the other day, this company sold various water pumps and pump jacks but never have seen one of these.

Dan , appears to be used as a bilge pump on a small boat , very shallow water .
just my opinion .

If it was a bilge pump, I don't think it would have a restriction nozzle on it. Maybe an old time fire-putter-outer.

Windy Bob you might be right. My brother went on the internet and the company that made this pump made all kinds of pumps even for putting fires out.

I don't really know. But the exit end of the hose looks to be a squirt end. Maybe you set the pump in a tank or something and squirt the water on a close fire? LOL
