Wooden Sucker rod end

Post by Wayne »

Does anybody have one of the ends of an old wooden sucker rod they would part with. I don't care which end male or female. I can make it work with the end I have. I want to put a wooden rod coming down from the windmill to a pump it won't pump water just move up and down. It is for the Dandy I'm putting up at our Pioneer Village. :D

Wayne are you talking about the cast iron swivel that connects the pump rod to the wooden sucker rod. If you are i believe Steve has one it might need welding

Wayne I have a couple, still on a wood rod. I don't think I have a spare off a rod,I will look. They are galvanized, 5/8 threads ( male and female) on the ends.

Windy here is what I have. If your pieces look like this one, mine is a female, but as I said it doesn't matter as I can make it work. I was going to use this end to hook to my pump. Would you sale one of yours I'll pay shipping. Or if you want to sale them as a pair I'd do that. Thanks You can send me a PM if you want.

WHen I get by the shop I will check. I know I have a full stick with both ends. Not sure if I have extras. I might have used it at one time to hook up a well.
