I started using 1/4 X 6 inch X 48 inch to make blades. One board will make two blades. I only have a Home Depot in town so have been buying them there. I bought their last 11 pieces and still needed 8 more. Drove to Waxahachie. They have a Lowes and Home Depot. Stopped at Lowes. I almost passed out when I saw the price. The boards at Home Depot are now $10.74 each, at Lowes they are $6.01. I bought their last 5 and still had to go pay the extra at Home Depot for the last 3. You can bet though if I need anymore. I will try and buy them online from Lowes and have them shipped to Waxahachie.

Been buying sch 40 pvc for a job. Prices are all over the place. I suppose inflation has things going up so fast that some places can't get new prices on items fast enough. If you can find things with older price tags on them, go for it. In the meantime, keep shopping around. Try some local lumber yards too. Sometimes they get behind on price changes.

One of the bad things about living in a small town lack of places to shop and go out to eat.
