Thanks for the input .. the turntable is level but not sure if it is wheel-heavy. I'm assuming the tail itself is a balance for the wheel.

I visited Tim Cook ... super knowledgeable and helpful. I got some mast pipe and a h49 that is in good condition.

Now looking to build a maintenance mast so I can remove the tail and lift the motor base off the mast top. I removed the tail from my windmill last summer without a lift .. scared the crap out of me ... very difficult to balance .. ended up using a extension ladder to support the end of the tail while I re-inserted the pin.

Does anyone have a design for a maintenance mast? I've seen some pics .. it bolts to the windmill base structure and mast top. Small hand winch ..

Thanks

You can search gin pole as there has been discussions on them in the past.

Below is one discussion, but I’m sure there are several threads on them.

Have you talked that over with her? She has you trained, she probably doesn't want to train another hard headed old man. If she is cooking for you, you need to hang on to her and hug her neck everyday. The biggest drawback to being single is having to prepare my own meals, then the cleanup afterwards!
