Aermotor tailbone pivot part

Hi everyone

I noticed this thing on the tailbone pivot of 14 and 16 foot Aermotors. (the small white rectangle)
What is this exactly?

It was not a separate part as it was riveted to the lower angle of the bone before being hot dipped. Worn tail bone holes for the tail pin was the result of the single bolt not holding the tail pin from moving. The sandwich bracket on the E and F kept the tail pin more solid solid to reduce movement and wear
