DRiving home yesterday from my trip out West I saw something I hadn't seen before. A Wind Turbine with a leak. There were several right along the highway, as driving an looking I noticed one with grease or oil under the box on top all around the tower and running down the tower quit a ways. Looking at all the others didn't see another with a leak. Didn't stop and take a picture for some reason. Guess I had a brain fart. I also think I saw a Perkins windmill just North of San Saba. The Vane looked looked like a Perkins. Couldn't stop. Will next time I'm that way. Went to the Sonora Caverns. Would go again. It is really something to see. Took a 5 mile hike in The Guadalupe Mountains park, to the Pratt Cabin. It has a Rock roof, rock walls rock floor and at one time electricity. IT would be interesting to know how much he paid to get electricity into such a remote site. Ther are a lot of places out in that area that don't have power today and the cabin was built in the 30s.
