I saw on the news where N.Carolina, Tenn., Mississippi just got hit again and a lot of them still have no power because of the ice storm last week.I feel for those people especially the elderly. Yep are winter has been snowing and pretty darn cold but it's nothing we can't handle. It's around 0 degrees but I'm nice and warm.

The fact that the temperature scales converge at -40 is something I knew and something I will never forget. When I was a senior in high school on my final exam in physics, one of the problems was to convert -40°F to Celsius. I did the math and kept getting -40 and it was driving me crazy. I went ahead and completed all the other questions and then came back to that one. I worked it a couple more time but nothing changed. I finally gave up and just put -40. I was very surprised to have gotten it right. Never forgot it.

When the local news came on 4.30 this morning the forecaster said he had good news the long range forecast shows we could make it into the mid twenties. Sounds good to me my wood stove is going through wood like a termite.
