Tower ID help

Have a part you can't identify? Did your parts get mixed up in the shop? Curious if that chunk of metal is a part you should keep? Not sure what kind of windmill or tower you have? Post photos of the mystery object here for the community to help identify.

Tower ID help

Post by NV-WindmillProject »

I'm really sure it's not F&W even though the crossbraces are wires, because the ladder doesn't use round rods as steps.
That's definitely not enough info, so I attached a photo of two more things: the place where the crossbraces connect to the tower, and the tower cap.

What brand of tower do you think is this?

Thanks in advance :)

Found another tower of the exact same model! This had a Dempster stubbed on top. Got much better closeups of the nuts n bolts now.

Those eccentrics seem different than I have seen on Dempster and Stover towers, as do the wire twist end cross braces. Sort of makes me think Woodmanse, but my experience with Woodmanse is limited. I’m not seeing as many upper braces as typical on a Woodmanse tower, so I’m hesitant to say Woodmanse as well as the ladder steps don’t scream anything to me either as they look like flat bar v a folder over (Stover) or angle.
