The mill should have enough internals in it to be able to lube the bearings. Like for instance the big gears bring up oil and transfer it to the small gears, and with a carrier of sorts, carries the oil out to the front snout bearing. Then if the sliding crosshead is in there, that also needs oil, with dippers or an oil pump. If the main shaft and other shaft bearings dont get oil, we all know what happens.

All of the parts & pieces you extracted the the motor appear to be in great shape ! As Windy stated you need most of that stuff inside to lube the bearings , or , it aint goin a last very long ! ! ! !
