Watch out for windmill blades

Post by NV-WindmillProject »

Was checking out some windmills on the ground when I walked a bit TOO close to a wheel, and one of the sails tore a hole clean thru my jeans! (Don't worry I didn't get hurt)
So yeah the lesson is: watch out for windmill blades when they're on the ground - you don't want to walk too close!

I was up swapping a section out, and the wheel turned and sliced down from above my eye to my cheek. And to think, people just thought I was born this handsome.
Call Dan Benjamin for parts. P M me for the phone number. IF YOU TALK TO HIM, AND HE HELPS YOU, THEN BUY FROM HIM. IT CREATES GOOD KARMA.

For me, it is near impossible to assemble, move or disassemble a wheel and not get cut or clothing torn in at least 1 of those 3 tasks.

I hate to take you off this important subject, but I just cringed when I saw Venn's picture of the Aermotor on the ground. It may not be a problem in the dry West or Southwest, but up here in the North if you park an Aermotor with the hub down it will fill with water and freeze crack the hub in the winter. Just a heads up. Ron.
