After many trials the other night going back with brass won't work its just to worn out and probably why it had babbit in the firat place. Trying to pour two seperate bearings front and back if I can figure out how to dam it up part way. Figure that's has less potential for disaster than a 16 inch pour.

ok. Some times you just gotta do what you just gotta do. I would suggest drilling a couple holes in the snout, and pour it like a 602.

Windy , today i poured the snout bearing in a 602 , not as complicated as i had imagined , photos wil be attached someday . :P
