Nice job on the shaft Mark. I believe the gears on the model 7 are the same as the steel star if you're looking.

Thanks Dan, I didn’t know that about the gears. I’m waiting on some new ones to be cast but it’s a long wait.

I am ashamed at how few super technical skills i have , or dont have .

Awesome job Mark and Kenneth!!! Can't wait to see the two completed projects and the mills spinning again. Thanks for all the pics, it helps the rest of us to visualize the correct way to repair a mill. I really miss the old forum because there were a lot of pictures of past projects we could refer back to for future projects.

A little more progress,,,pins for the tail bone frame. The holes were egged so I bored them to .875 and then made bushings to take them back to .750”. Made the bushings out of oilite bronze. Probably not as hard as cast iron but it should last a long time since it will never pump water again.
