Worked on my mill today. Started the assembly process. Everything is going together nice. I know the hub is not painted but wanted to figure out the clearance on all the parts first. More to come later.

I got a little done on the mill today. I put the pipe in the main casting. And this is galvanized pipe as I believe that is what was in it at least when I got it. I also machined a flat washer for the bed plate. That is so the thrust bearing will have a flat surface to sit on. See pics.

We were heading to New Mexico, and stayed in Ft. Stockton last night and thi was behind our Hotel. This is a branch of Spring Branch water well service. Many of you know Trey Hauck who works for them.

Mike, I considered that but bearing material is hard as a rock. More than I want to deal with.

Does anyone have a source for a thrust bearing like this? It is 1.125 I.D. and about 3.00 O.D. I have searched the internet with no luck. I can find one, but with 1.750 O.D.
