The 1882-1/2 was also used on the Star 24. I believe the dealer could order the gearbox with it for a customer that was upgrading an older mill like the 12,13 or 15, so they could reuse their wheel and arms. I have a 4 section, 6’ model 24 with this style hub and a model 12 wheel.
